The Woodstock Area Jewish Community/Congregation Shir Shalom welcomes Jews of all ages and from diverse backgrounds to come together to worship, study, and enrich each others’ lives. Non-Jews are always welcome too, whether joining family or simply wanting to explore our congregation.

In 1988, around 30 people joined together on a summer evening to share a “Shabbat Pot-luck Dinner.” We have grown to be a vibrant Jewish congregation that is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism. Unlike most congregations, we do not have dues or charge fees for our religious school or other programs. We depend entirely upon contributions from our congregants, guests, friends, and visitors.

Thoughtful estate planning allows donors to consider and contribute larger gifts than they might otherwise have thought possible.
